How do you plan your goals?

We all have dreams, but dreams without a plan are justβ¦ well, wishes. Goal planning is the bridge between where you are now and where you want to be. Itβs the art of giving your aspirations a clear direction, measurable milestones, and the fuel to keep going.
Hereβs how I approach it:
- Start with Clarity
Vague goals like βI want to be successfulβ are inspiring but unhelpful. I define my goals in specific termsββI want to publish a blog post every week for six monthsβ is far more actionable. - Break It Down
Big goals can feel overwhelming, so I split them into smaller, achievable steps. Think of it like a staircaseβeach step takes you higher without feeling impossible. - Set Deadlines
A goal without a timeline is just a hope. Deadlines push me to take action instead of waiting for βthe right timeβ (spoiler: it never comes). - Track and Adjust
I regularly check my progress and ask, βIs this still working?β If not, I tweak my approach rather than abandoning the goal entirely. - Stay Accountable
Whether itβs telling a friend, joining a community, or writing about it publicly, accountability keeps me committed on days motivation fades.
For me, planning goals isnβt about perfectionβitβs about momentum. The plan doesnβt need to be flawless, but it does need to be started. And once you start, the path becomes clearer with every step.
